Job description

Bemac Collision Group has an immediate opportunity for a Detailer to join their team in a well-established, progressively growing company. Reporting directly to the Shop Manager, the Detailer is responsible for making automobiles look immaculate and clean, both inside and out. To do this, Auto Detailers must be able to effectively use a variety of equipment, cleaners, polishes, and waxes as well as have a good eye for detail. Hourly Rate: $18.00 - $20.00

 

  • Cleans and refurbishes automobiles, performing any combination of the following duties: Washes vehicle exterior to clean cars, using cleaning solution, water, cloths, and brushes.
  • Applies wax to auto body, and wipes or buffs surfaces to protect surfaces and preserve shine, using a cloth or buffing machine.
  • Vacuums interiors of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris, using the vacuum cleaner.
  • Cleans upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces, using cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices.
  • Applies revitalizers and preservatives to vinyl or leather surfaces, and treats fabrics with spot and stain-resistant chemicals to preserve and protect interior components.
  • Cleans engine and engine compartment with steam cleaning equipment and various cleaning agents to remove grease and grime.
  • Applies special purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials, which do not respond to normal cleaning procedures, utilizing experience and following recommendations of the product manufacturer.
  • Applies paint to chipped body surfaces of the vehicle, using a container of touchup paint.
  • Shuttling customers as requested by Front Office.


Requirements
 

  • Valid state driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Valid G class Driver License
  • Prior detailing experience may be preferred.
  • Attention to detail with great communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including walking, crouching, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Bilingual French/English is an asset
