General Automotive Mechanic (with welding experience)

Chambly Mazda, a well-known dealership on Montreal's South Shore and a well-established family business, is looking for an experienced general automotive technician to join its team. We are looking for a versatile, independent technician who is passionate about automotive mechanics and capable of performing a wide variety of maintenance and repair work on different types of vehicles. Experience or skills in welding are a significant asset for this position.

Responsibilities:

- Perform general vehicle maintenance (oil changes, brakes, suspension, steering, etc.)
- Diagnose and repair various mechanical problems
- Perform mechanical inspections and preventive maintenance
- Perform welding and repair work on metal components when required
- Install, remove, and balance tires
- Replace various components (headlights, filters, windshield wipers, etc.)
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Collaborate with the team of technicians and the service department

Required profile:

- Experience as an auto mechanic or auto technician
- Welding skills (a significant asset)
- Good mechanical diagnostic skills
- Valid driver's license
- Attention to detail, autonomy, and organizational skills
- Team spirit and professional attitude
