Job description

Groupe Deragon, located in Cowansville, is a well-established company in the automotive industry. The group includes several businesses, including Ford and Honda dealerships, as well as Carstar and Point S centers, recognized for their quality service and commitment to customer satisfaction.

To support the growth and operations of its various entities, Groupe Deragon is currently seeking a Payroll Technician and HR Advisor who will play a key role in payroll management and human resources support.

Under the supervision of management, the incumbent will ensure the rigorous management of payroll-related activities and actively participate in various human resources processes for all companies in the group.

Main responsibilities:

Payroll:

- Prepare, verify, and process employee payroll in accordance with deadlines;
- Ensure the accuracy of data related to hours worked, leave, absences, and benefits;
- Make necessary adjustments and produce payroll reports;
- Participate in the production of tax statements and government filings;
- Maintain payroll records and ensure the confidentiality of information.

Human resources:

- Provide administrative follow-up on employee files;
- Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new employees;
- Support the updating and application of internal policies and procedures;
- Answer employee questions about payroll, benefits, and certain HR policies;
- Contribute to various HR projects and initiatives;
- Prepare various reports and administrative documents.

Required profile:

- Experience in payroll processing;
- Experience in human resources (a significant asset);
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office;
- Rigorous and highly discreet in handling confidential information;
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities;
- Good judgment, autonomy, and team spirit;
- Professional approach and good communication skills;
- Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written).

Training

- College Diploma or DVS in administration, accounting, human resources, or a related field.
