Workshop Dispatcher

That's why we are looking for a dynamic and meticulous Shop Dispatcher to complete our service department team.

This position is essential to the smooth operation of the shop, as it ensures efficient work allocation and optimal coordination between technicians, service advisors, and service management.

Reporting to the Fixed Operations Manager, your main responsibilities will be to:

    • Plan and assign work orders to the 28 technicians based on their skills and workload;
    • Prioritize work based on appointments, emergencies, and established deadlines;
    • Ensure the efficiency and productivity of the shop;
    • Track repairs and optimize vehicle flow in the shop;
    • Collaborate closely with service advisors to meet delivery deadlines;
    • Ensure clear communication between the technical team and the service team;
    • Identify support or resource needs to prevent delays;
    • Contribute to maintaining a structured and efficient work environment;
    • Participate in the continuous improvement of the workshop's work processes.

Desired Profile:

    • 3 years of experience in a similar position;
    • Good knowledge of automotive mechanics and workshop operations;
    • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills;
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple files simultaneously;
    • Proficiency with computer tools and workshop software (SDSWin);
    • Knowledge of Ford products (an asset);
