Role and responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the president, the controller will be responsible for managing and supervising the finance department. He or she will play a strategic role in the financial management of the company and in optimizing accounting processes.
• Oversee the entire accounting cycle;
• Produce and analyze monthly and annual financial statements;
• Manage the payroll process and ensure compliance with current standards;
• Perform and oversee month-end and year-end procedures;
• Manage inventory financing and relations with financial institutions;
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls;
• Participate in budget development and financial performance monitoring;
• Supervise and mentor accounting department staff;
• Collaborate with management in financial and operational decision-making.
Profile and requirements:
• Experience in the automotive industry (a major asset);
• Solid mastery of the entire accounting cycle and financial statements;
• Excellent people management and communication skills;
• Organizational skills, rigor, and autonomy;
• Good command of Excel and accounting software (SERTI/Nethris).
