Job Title: Automotive Internet Sales Team Lead
Location: Plaza Auto Group
Department: Sales
Reports To: General Sales Manager
Position Overview

Plaza Auto Group is seeking a driven, results-oriented Automotive Internet Sales Team Lead to oversee and grow our Internet Sales Department. This individual will be responsible for handling and closing internet leads while leading, coaching, and managing a team of Internet Sales Representatives.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, performance-focused, and experienced in digital lead management, CRM processes, and automotive sales leadership.
Key Responsibilities

Sales & Lead Management
 

  • Manage and close inbound internet leads (email, chat, phone, and digital inquiries)
  • Ensure all internet leads are responded to within established response-time standards
  • Set appointments and drive showroom traffic
  • Maintain consistent follow-up on unsold leads to maximize conversions
  • Track personal and team performance metrics


Team Leadership & Development
 

  • Oversee daily activity of Internet Sales Representatives
  • Monitor CRM usage to ensure proper lead handling and follow-up processes
  • Coach team members on phone skills, email communication, and appointment setting
  • Follow up customers to ensure handled correctly
  • Train new team members on systems, scripts, and dealership processes


Performance & Accountability
 

  • Monitor KPIs (appointments set, shown, sold, response time, closing ratios)
  • Hold team members accountable to activity and performance standards
  • Collaborate with Sales Management to improve internet-to-showroom conversion rates

Qualifications
 

  • Minimum 2-3 years automotive sales experience (internet sales experience preferred)
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience is an asset
  • Strong CRM proficiency (PBS experience a plus)
  • Excellent phone, email, and communication skills
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • High energy, positive attitude, and strong closing skills
