Kal Tire has the opportunity for an automotive professional with strong, hands-on leadership experience to lead one of our Rural Alberta locations as a Store Manager.
In this role, you'll lead from the front. You understand the shop floor, and you know how to align operational execution with long-term strategy. You'll shape culture, coach technicians, drive performance, and ensure exceptional service standards in a market where relationships and reputation matter.

Responsibilities:
- Team Development- Lead and develop Front Counter staff, Tire Technicians, Journeypersons, Apprentices, and Service Advisors. Create a culture built on accountability, safety, and customer-first service.
- Financial Oversight- Manage profit and loss statements, oversee budgets, control expenses, and ensure healthy inventory management tailored to rural customer demands.
- Operational Leadership- Prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment. Maintain high safety standards, efficient workflows, and consistent service quality.
- Sales & Relationship Building- Grow retail and B2B business, strengthen local partnerships, and identify opportunities within fleet, agricultural, and industrial segments.
- Recruitment & Retention- Attract and retain skilled automotive professionals who align with your leadership style and performance expectations.
- Safety & Compliance- Champion workplace safety, enforce PPE standards, and promote a culture where everyone goes home safe.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3+ years of management or supervisory experience in an automotive or mechanical environment.
- Strong hands-on automotive background; comfortable in shop operations.
- Demonstrated leadership in coaching, mentoring, and performance development.
- Experience managing budgets, inventory, and operational KPIs.
- High school diploma/GED; additional management training considered an asset.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to lift 30-50 lbs. as required.
- Strong communication skills and commitment to exceptional customer service.
- Proven ability to foster a safe, team-oriented workplace.
