Job Description

The Fleet & Logistics Coordinator is responsible for supporting daily project execution at the Syncrude Mildred Lake, and Syncrude Aurora sites by managing site-specific fleet, equipment, tools, and PPE requirements. This role ensures frontline teams have the vehicles, tools, and protective equipment needed to perform work safely and efficiently.

What would you be doing?
 

  • Coordinate onsite vehicle assignments, access, returns, and rotations while supporting service scheduling with approved vendors.
  • Monitor project truck condition, mileage, documentation, and site specific compliance requirements, escalating maintenance or safety issues.
  • Arrange, requisition, and distribute PPE for all project personnel; maintain minimum stock levels and ensure compliance with Suncor and Syncrude PPE standards.
  • Establish and maintain organized tool cribs at each site, including tracking tool usage, returns, condition, and repair needs.
  • Manage inventory levels for tools and consumables, ensuring timely replenishment to support ongoing field work.
  • Coordinate onsite equipment rentals, including delivery, pickup, staging, and condition checks.
  • Support daily onsite logistics, including material handling, equipment moves, staging area organization, and securing of tools and equipment.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and project leadership to forecast fleet, tool, equipment, and PPE needs throughout each project phase.


Qualifications
 

  • 3-5 years in fleet, logistics, equipment, or tool crib coordination roles, ideally within heavy industrial or energy sector projects.
  • Diploma or certification in logistics, inventory management, fleet management, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities in fast paced project environments.
  • Intermediate Excel and/or inventory management system skills.
  • Clear communication skills for working with site teams and vendors.
  • Understanding of NSC, safety standards, and site-specific requirements.
