Location: St-Césaire (Where is that? It's 25 minutes from Granby and 35 minutes from St-Hubert);
Schedule: Daytime hours, Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.;
Salary: Starting at $70,000/year and up, depending on experience.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist the technical service manager with various responsibilities to ensure the smooth operation of his unit;
• Assist the technical service advisor in his various duties.
Customer relations:
• Follow up until the customer is satisfied;
• Negotiate win-win agreements with customers;
• Promote and sell preventive maintenance offers and equipment rentals, and coordinate their planning and execution.
• Manage warranties on parts and equipment.
• Provide technical support to colleagues (sales force, customer service, electromechanics) by answering their questions, searching for documentation, etc.
Procurement:
• Search for parts, tools, and/or information from suppliers, based on customer needs or requests from the technical service team.
Inventory and warehouse management:
• Manage parts inventory to ensure optimal inventory levels;
• Transfer and adjust parts in inventory and keep the necessary documents to control transactions;
• Keep the parts warehouse clean and safe, and ensure parts are identified to make picking them up quick and easy;
• Create product codes and ensure product code tracking and compliance.
• Manage parts warranties with suppliers.
• Prepare for and participate in annual departmental inventories.
Administration:
• Manage and supervise electromechanics.
• Conduct performance evaluations.
• Set objectives.
• Conduct salary reviews.
• Ensure compliance with rules and policies.
• Implement and enforce work procedures to ensure the quality of service provided.
• Collect, verify, and process the necessary administrative documents to produce statistical reports.
• Be able to prepare work orders and perform billing.
DESIRED PROFILE:
• 5 years of experience in mechanics and customer service;
• Comfortable working in a computerized environment (SIM, Internet, Outlook, etc.);
• Valid Class 5 driver's licence;
• Thorough knowledge of and ability to work in accordance with health and safety standards and rules;
• Professional leadership: ability to influence positively;
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate, empower, and motivate a team;
• Demonstrated analytical skills and sound judgment in problem solving;
• Negotiation skills;
• Professional conduct in all circumstances;
• Understand the company's issues and needs;
• Be customer-oriented;
• Be bilingual (spoken and written).
Bilingualism in spoken and written English is required for this position. Knowledge of English is necessary in order to communicate on a weekly basis with our English-speaking customers and suppliers, as well as with our sister company.
