Apprentice Body Shop Technician (3rd Year)
Schedule: Monday to Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

The Role
Body Repair - 80% of your time is spent here
- Hands-on repair work under the guidance of experienced technicians
- Assist with restoring the structural integrity of damaged units
- Support frame structural repairs, body sheet metal work, plastic and fiberglass component replacement, and alignments
- Learn and apply proper repair techniques and procedures
Reports and Training - 10% and it's important
- Accurately track time and document all work completed on repair orders
- Participate in continuous upskilling and in-house training programs
- Develop knowledge of new technologies and repair methods used in heavy-duty trucking
Other Duties - 10% of your time is spent here
- Review detailed notes from Service Advisors to understand repair requirements
- Assist with vehicle inspections for dimensional accuracy
- Test drive vehicles, when appropriate, to confirm proper alignment and handling
- Read estimates and follow established repair procedures
Education / Certification
- Registered 3rd Year Apprentice Body Shop Technician
- Class 1 or Class 3 driver's license is an asset
Experience
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience Heavy Truck body shop (preferred)
- 5 years Auto-body technician experience
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and support repair decisions
- Willingness to learn, ask questions, and follow direction
