Accountant / Assistant Controller

Des Sources Dodge Chrysler Jeep Fiat is looking for a motivated and rigorous Accountant / Assistant Controller to join our team. If you have accounting experience and would like to develop your career in the automotive industry, this opportunity is for you.

Your responsibilities:

- Participate in the complete maintenance of the dealership's accounting books;
- Perform monthly accounting entries and month-end entries;
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements;
- Assist the controller in the monthly and annual closing process;
- Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations;
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable;
- Verify, record, and control supplier invoices;
- Track payments and collections;
- Record sales of new and pre-owned vehicles;
- Perform vehicle inventory reconciliations;
- Manage financing and manufacturer subsidy files;
- Track rebates, bonuses, and manufacturer programs;
- Verify the accuracy of sales and commission files;
- Participate in payroll preparation and benefits tracking;
- Produce and analyze financial and operational reports;
- Ensure compliance with current accounting and tax standards.

Profile:

- Experience in accounting, ideally in the automotive field (an asset);
- Good command of computer tools and office software;
- Thoroughness, attention to detail and organizational skills;
- Ability to work as part of a team and meet deadlines.
