Mechanical Engineering Summer Student

• Conduct Mechanical design work including preparing drawings and calculations.
• Create Computer Aided Design (CAD) models of designs using Autodesk Inventor.
• Work with customers to complete fleet alteration requests.
• Help in diagnosing equipment issues and provide recommendations for the necessary repairs.
• Support customer focus initiatives with data analysis and customer support.
• Help identify opportunities to better serve internal business units.
• Create engineering documentation supporting project and design work.

Qualifications 

 

• Enrolled in a degree program in Mechanical Engineering.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required.
• Advanced proficiency in producing 3D CAD drawings and preparing specifications is also required.
• A valid Class 5 Driver's Licence (or provincial equivalent) with no more than six demerits and no
• Previous work experience as a mechanical engineering intern in an industrial setting will be considered an asset.
• The ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.

Pre-Employment Requirements 

 

• Must be currently enrolled in school on a full-time basis with the intent to return to school full-time in the Fall of 2026.
• If invited to an interview, you will be asked to provide an unofficial transcript or an enrollment verification letter (indicating the program and year you are currently completing).

Compensation: $29.82 per hour 

Days of Work: This position works a 5 day 

work week with 1 day off in a 3 week cycle. 

Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
