Job summary:

Under the Fixed Operations Manager's supervision, the Senior Parts Clerk is responsible for managing the inventory of spare parts. The jobholder handles the receipt, storage, and distribution of parts to mechanics or customers. They must also place orders with suppliers, maintain an up-to-date inventory, and advise customers on the appropriate parts for their vehicles. They play a key role in the smooth operation of the workshop by ensuring the availability of parts needed for vehicle repairs and maintenance.

To be considered for this position, candidates must:

- Have relevant experience in a similar position in the automotive field
- Have a valid driver's license
- Have extensive knowledge of and a keen interest in automobiles.

Job description:

- Greet customers who come to the parts department and answer the phone and email requests
- Provide quality customer service at all times
- Provide customers with information about parts and accessories and place orders;
- Process internal parts requests by following the required procedures;
- Collect payments and obtain credit authorizations;
- Keep all repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates, and special order parts files organized and up to date;
- Track orders.
- Restock assigned inventory daily.
- Organize and fill orders from inventory.
- Perform other duties as required and as directed by management.

Education and experience:

- 7 years of experience in a similar role.

Specific knowledge:

- Fluency in spoken and written French;
- Good command of English and ability to communicate clearly with our English-speaking customers;
- Knowledge and understanding of automotive mechanical components;
- Ability to work effectively with automotive parts ordering and work order management software;
- Knowledge of automotive mechanics (an asset);
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate technical information to customers;
- Excellent ability to manage priorities;
- Interpersonal skills and persuasiveness to achieve sales results;
