This position is for an ongoing recruitment campaign and not for a permanent vacancy. 

We are seeking professional and reliable Security Professionals to join our client's manufacturing plants in the Cambridge and Woodstock areas. Our client, one of the largest automotive companies in the world, is a leader in the automotive industry and a favourite amongst drivers around the world. They are known globally for their diverse vehicles, pioneering hybrid vehicles, and its extensive global manufacturing and sales, focusing on quality, safety, and sustainable mobility. 

The ideal candidate has experience working within the manufacturing sector and demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills, along with training in de-escalation and conflict management, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment. 

Position Overview: 

Position: Security Guard

Location: Cambridge and Woodstock

Shift: 12 Hour Continental Rotation (Days and Overnights) (Weekends available as well)

Pay Rate: Progressive $18.57 to $21.02/hr

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Monitor visitor access and security cameras, maintain accurate visitor logs, and address any security concerns. 
 

• Perform interior and exterior foot and mobile patrols in all weather conditions.
• Monitor and provide support at gatehouses, monitoring traffic and visitors.
• Complete bag checks during client employee shift changeover and provide extra support to security guards when needed.
• Perform access control provision duties, verify visitors coming on-site.
• Authorize trucks coming in to deliver product by following procedure.
• Halt vehicles or trucks at gate exit and perform any necessary inspections.
• Ensure trailer doors are locked before allowing trucks to leave.
• Enter vehicle and truck driver information into the computer system and log all information such as licence plate numbers, trailer numbers etc.
• Investigate incidents of trespassers along fence perimeters and property. Deter trespassers from the property.
• Ensure that all policies, procedures, and user expectations are consistently followed by staff and visitors.
• Maintain a daily operator report and promptly communicate any incidents, concerns, or operational issues to the management team.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

 

• Valid Ontario Security License
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certification
• G Class Drivers Licence with a clean abstract required.
• Security experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of security protocols and procedures, including emergency response, conflict resolution, and de-escalation tactics
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to maintain accurate reports, logs, and documentation
• Flexible and adaptable to support school programs and events
• Team player committed to a safe, secure, and welcoming school environment
