Yard Labourer - Fleet

Position(s): Yard Laborer 
Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday (with overtime opportunity) 
Start Time: 7:00AM 
Location: Acheson, Alberta 

Forbes Bros Ltd. is currently looking for experienced Yard Laborer (full-time, permanent) to join our team.

The Yard Laborer will Perform general labor tasks within the shop and fleet yards, including cleaning and preparing work areas, removing debris and hazardous materials, and supporting yard conditions, removal and clearing of snow. Additionally, the yard laborer Assist with shop operations and tooling/inventory needs such as positioning, handling, and organizing equipment, as well as transporting supplies and parts as required.

Key Responsibilities:
 

• Emulates Forbes Bros core value of 'WE WORK SAFE' in all daily tasks
• Perform duties in company yard, including loading and unloading trucks, load securement
• Keep the yard(s), building(s) and equipment neat, clean and organized
• Snow removal and cleanup during winter season
• Grass cutting and weed removal around yard/building during summer season
• Assist other departments in movement of deliveries within company yard and office
• Learn and assist with powerline tooling repairs
• Assist in conducting inventory counts
• General warehousing duties as required
• Assisting with other operational tasks, as required

What We Are Looking For:
 

• Minimum one (1) year of experience operating skid steer, back hoe, or similar equipment, is required
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License, is required, Class 3, an asset
• Strong work ethic and integrity
• Proven accountability and dependability and able to perform repetitive duties with minimal supervision
• Able to work in a dynamic environment with multiple crew and team members
• Able and willing to accommodate frequent overtime hours when required
• Able and willing to provide an acceptable five (5) year Driver's Abstract
