Position Details: The Pricing & Auction Support Associate supports key functions of HCCA's vehicle remarketing process, combining operational coordination, auction representation, pricing, reporting, and project management. The role drives downstream activities such as inspections, transportation, repairs, and auction preparation, while assisting in inventory representation at live and online sales. The position also drives continuous improvement in used vehicle pricing by challenging current practices and finding more efficient, data-driven ways to establish competitive prices for returning vehicles. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate reporting and leading initiatives that enhance the dealer experience through digital solutions, process improvements, and automation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support continuous improvement in used vehicle pricing by setting baseline prices, managing pricing files, driving data-driven pricing discussions with the Remarketing Auctions Sales Managers, and analyzing industry trends to ensure competitiveness.
- Coordinate remarketing operations by proactively managing grounding, inspections, transport, repairs, and auction activities for the Downstream channel, ensuring issues are addressed quickly and processes run smoothly.
- Support the delivery and implementation of initiatives that enhance the dealer experience, focusing optimization, automation, and projects within the downstream remarketing channel
- Support Remarketing Auctions Sales Managers in representing HCCA off-lease and repossessed inventory at live auctions and remote/online sales.
- Maintain and update weekly and monthly reporting to ensure accuracy and business insight.
Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience preferably in the automotive industry, banking, or financial services
• Vehicle remarketing knowledge and experience is preferred. Strong understanding of the Leasing industry.
• 2 years' experience with project coordination or management
• 2 years' experience in data management and manipulation, including organizing, analyzing, and interpreting large data sets to generate actionable insights and support business decision-making
Education & Certification
• Bachelor's degree in business management or similar
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
• Strong knowledge of SQL and data management techniques.
• Experience with vehicle remarketing analytical and operational systems (e.g., AutoIMS, Black Book, Openlane)
• Familiarity with physical and online auctions
• Proven organizational, planning, and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics, present clearly, and negotiate effectively.
• Ability to work independently while fostering collaboration and teamwork.
• Bilingual proficiency preferred.
