Business Development Account Manager, Dealer Finance
DUCA is looking for two Business Development Account Manager, Dealer Financeto join our growing team!
Job Purpose & Summary
The Business Development Account Manager, Dealer Finance helps grow and expand DUCA's auto-finance channel (DUCA Dealer Finance) presence across Ontario.
This position blends field work and relationship management. The Business Development Account Manager focuses on establishing new and maintaining existing dealership relationships, meeting with finance managers, and positioning DUCA as the preferred lender for new and used-car deals. This position works closely with DUCA's leadership team to shape dealer onboarding, support processes, and territory growth.
The Business Development Account Manager contributes positively to DUCA by demonstrating expertise in relationship building, strategic sales, and risk management in the automotive finance industry.
Key Accountabilities & Duties
- Build and strengthen dealer relationships by providing tailored, full-service banking and financing solutions.
- Leverage network within the automotive industry to identify opportunities and generate quality referrals.
- Visit dealerships regularly to coach finance managers and sales teams on how and when to use DUCA's lending programs.
- Develop strong relationships with finance managers, General Managers (GMs), and dealer principals.
- Maintain a high market profile within the assigned territory by building and maintaining relationships with key dealers, strategic partners, and contacts.
- Penetrate all assigned dealer relationships through face-to-face meetings, identifying decision makers within targeted leads to generate interest and begin the sales process.
- Grow volume with existing dealer partners while signing up new dealers in assigned territory and generating consistent volume.
- Act as the main point of contact for deal questions, submissions, and follow-ups.
- Track deal flow, hit monthly funding targets, and report activity to the Director, Strategic Partnerships.
- Assist with dealer onboarding, training sessions, and early-stage process development as the program grows.
- Gather market intelligence on competitor programs, rate trends, and dealership needs.
- Collaborate closely with credit and internal partners to deliver sound financing structures and ensure prudent risk management.
- Represent DUCA at industry and community events to enhance visibility and foster connections.Prepare and deliver accurate, timely summaries of commission payments to partner dealerships, ensuring transparency and alignment with contractual agreements.
Occupational Experience & Education Requirements
- Experience in the automotive industry.
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in banking or commercial lending, with significant exposure to the automotive sector.
- Proven track record in developing and executing sales strategies that generate sustained portfolio growth.
- Demonstrated ability to structure and advise on complex automotive credit transactions.
- In-depth understanding of credit and risk management principles.
- A self-driven approach to territory management and hitting targets.
- Ability to work independently while staying connected to a central team.
- Valid Ontario driver's license and willingness to travel across the assigned region.
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

- In-depth knowledge of retail banking environment including automotive industry an asset.

Salary: This role offers a competitive compensation package under the Business Development Account Manager, Dealer Financecompensation plan, designed to reward employees for driving business growth and expanding their client portfolio. The annual salary for this position is $70,000. The potential range for annual commission earnings is up to $30,000.
