Job description
We are looking for an HR Generalist to join our team. This individual will report to the Director of HR for Western Canada.
This is a true Generalist role for someone who is interested in supporting and managing all HR functions for the BC region.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage Health & Safety for all locations in BC in accordance with WorkSafeBC
- Manage short-term, long-term, and WCB disability claims
- Facilitate Health & Safety training and support H&S committee members
- Conduct orientation seminars for new hires
- Support the Director of HR with management soft-skills training
- Handle employee and labour relations for all 24 locations in BC
- Provide guidance on employee matters in accordance with BC Employment Law
- Support performance management and disciplinary documentation
- Conduct employee investigations aligned with ESA guidelines
- Assist with headcount tracking and regional staff reporting
- Draft employment contracts
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience working within an HR team
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, dynamic environment
- Automotive or retail industry experience is highly valued
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience working in a unionized environment is an asset
- First Aid certification is an asset
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills
