Human Resources Generalist

We are looking for an HR Generalist to join our team. This individual will report to the Director of HR for Western Canada. 

This is a true Generalist role for someone who is interested in supporting and managing all HR functions for the BC region.

Key Responsibilities
 

• Manage Health & Safety for all locations in BC in accordance with WorkSafeBC
• Manage short-term, long-term, and WCB disability claims
• Facilitate Health & Safety training and support H&S committee members
• Conduct orientation seminars for new hires
• Support the Director of HR with management soft-skills training
• Handle employee and labour relations for all 24 locations in BC
• Provide guidance on employee matters in accordance with BC Employment Law
• Support performance management and disciplinary documentation
• Conduct employee investigations aligned with ESA guidelines
• Assist with headcount tracking and regional staff reporting
• Draft employment contracts
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications
 

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience working within an HR team
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, dynamic environment
• Automotive or retail industry experience is highly valued
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• Experience working in a unionized environment is an asset
• First Aid certification is an asset
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills
