Financial Controller wanted!

Groupe Couture, comprising 18 dealerships in Quebec, is looking for a Financial Controller to join our team at a dealership on the South Shore of Montreal. The successful candidate will work in partnership with the accounting department at head office and the existing team.

Main duties:

- Perform the complete accounting cycle, bank reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, verification of general ledger and subsidiary accounts;
- Make government remittances
- Produce monthly financial statements and financial performance analysis
- Develop control systems to ensure the efficient operation of the business
- Reconcile accounts
- Prepare year-end files for external auditors
- Provide support to the team in day-to-day operations;
- Perform all other related tasks.

Requirements:

- University degree in accounting or college diploma in administrative technology with significant experience. Experience in a car dealership would be a major asset;
- Demonstrate leadership and the ability to question work methods and processes;
- Excellent command of Excel;
- Have a good knowledge of computer systems, ideally Serti.
- Be organized, structured, and thorough;
- Have a proactive, determined attitude and a strong sense of ethics.
