Main responsibilities:
- Perform dent removal, straightening, and body repair work with precision and efficiency, in accordance with estimates and manufacturer standards.
- Read and interpret repair estimates in order to dent, straighten, repair, or replace required body components.
- Straighten frames and underbodies using specialized pulling and anchoring equipment.
- Replace various body components, including front-end assemblies, panels, doors, bumpers, grilles, frame components, and interior structural parts.
- Remove dents from body panels using hammers, dollies, and other specialized tools.
- Remove, align, bolt, or weld damaged or replacement parts.
- Properly use welding equipment as well as plastic repair and filling tools and techniques to repair dents, holes, and seams.
- Prepare, organize, and secure vehicles before and after dent repair work.
- Work closely with other members of the technical team to ensure high-quality workmanship.
- Perform any other related duties as required by the team.
Training
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Hold a competency card issued by the Automotive Parity Committee;
- Hold a valid driver’s license with a good driving record;
- Able to drive vehicles with both manual and automatic transmissions;
- Meticulous and efficient, with strong time management skills;
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
