The Opportunity:
We have an exciting opportunity with one of our clients, a prominent manufacturer specializing in exterior and interior trim for the automotive industry. They are currently seeking a skilled Product Designer to join their dynamic team.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Utilize cutting-edge tools and engineering techniques to create innovative product designs.
- Enhance the existing product designs by implementing VAVE, DOE, and other industry best practices.
- Play an active role in the design innovation process.
- Verify and validate designs through tolerance analysis, engineering calculations, prototype development, fit-ups, and DVP&R management.
- Conduct DFMEA's, DFM/DFA, VA/VE analysis, and material specifications.
What You'll Need To Be Successful:
- Hold a Mechanical Diploma and/or Engineering Degree.
- Possess 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in core CAD products such as NX, CATIA V5.
- Ability to develop 3D product models and drawings using standard industry practices.
- Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis).
- Familiarity with automotive OEM, QS, TS, and ISO Systems.
- Demonstrated hands-on prototyping and fit-up skills.
- Salary: $75,000 - $95,000
