Position Overview:
We're seeking a dedicated administrative professional who will play a critical role in the day to day operations of the office which includes managing staff, monitoring the program deliverables, scheduling and performing periodic assessments of program, development of position descriptions and work/flow/organization structural changes to ensure efficiency of contract delivery each year. Salary Range: PB: 9 - $76,789-$95,988
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the overall process of curriculum development to OMVIC demands and guidelines Incumbent facilitates ongoing revision of curriculum, course development of automotive certification program and course materials.
• Manage program within Manager's portfolio -OMVIC certification is a post-secondary course also offered to ABSC Diploma & Degree students.
• Manage the development of modernized processes, including registration, course delivery and course recognition.
• Manage grades, appeals, implement accomodations for all courses offered in the portfolio.
• Hire, supervise, monitor and direct daily activities of full time and part time employees Incumbent is responsible for problem solving, providing assistance, conflict resolution, and providing guidance, direction and management support for all program employees.
• Conflict resolution for all OMVIC students regarding complaints, appeals, performance, grading and promotion as detailed in the Academic Practices and Procedures.
• Incumbent is responsible for marketing the courses, which may include working with agencies for the creation of marketing assets or attending tradeshow/events to promote the offerings.
• Works closely with suppliers on an ongoing basis to keep program materials current, while collaborating with OMVIC to ensure they meet the standards of both organizations.
• Works with translation company to ensure course material and ancillary products are available in both French and English.
• Staging on-site delivery of the program in various locations across Ontario, including contracting with various established partners and acquiring new partners as necessary.
• Develop and maintain annual operating budget to achieve financial profitability and achieve the over all target challenges for the ABSC.
• Negotiate contracts with marketing firms, translation company, graphics company, printers, couriers and other suppliers to ensure program is delivered on budget and financial goals are met.
Qualifications:
• Successfully completed a two-year diploma in Business Administration, Office Administration or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of management experience including budget development and operations management with prior knowledge of the automotive industry is required.
• Bilingual in English and French would be considered an asset.
• Demonstrated experience in Project Management
• Advanced skills in MS Word and MS Excel.
• Demonstrated experience in Human Resources Management to effectively attract, hire, develop & supervise staff in a multi-unionized environment is required.
• Strong interpersonal skills to manage support staff and work with staff from different departments.
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
