We are looking for an experienced Mechanic. Join a team that sells approximately 350 new vehicles and over 300 used vehicles per year!
Responsibilities:
At Lachute Subaru, Technicians play an essential role within our small team, where collaboration is paramount. Despite each person's specialization, we believe in teamwork where all tasks are shared and performed collectively to ensure efficient, quality service while maintaining motivation.
Advanced diagnostics and repairs:
• Diagnose complex problems using computer and electronic tools.
• Repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles.
• Perform major repairs such as transmission, engine, differential, etc.
Maintenance and inspection:
• Perform periodic maintenance (oil changes, brakes, suspension, tire installation, etc.).
• Perform inspections related to warranties and manufacturer recalls.
• Inspect used vehicles.
Technical support and communication:
• Open tickets with the manufacturer's technical support line to report and resolve complex issues.
• Write QMRs (Quality Mechanical Reports) to document anomalies and help improve vehicles.
• Serve as a technical reference for less experienced mechanics.
• Train and supervise apprentices and junior mechanics.
• Communicate with the parts department and customer service to ensure efficient repairs.
• Read service bulletins on a daily basis.
Compliance with standards and safety:
• Apply manufacturer standards and repair procedures.
• Comply with safety guidelines and environmental regulations.
• Accurately document work performed in vehicle records.
Requirements:
• Valid driver's licence.
• Experience at Subaru (an asset).

Training
