The Paris Parts Distribution Centre (PDC) is one of three Canadian PDCs that receives and distributes thousands of automotive service parts to our dealers across Canada, and is an integral part of the Ford Motor Company organization.

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage unionized hourly personnel.
- Carry out Company practice/policy in the areas of work expectation, discipline, training, and personnel administration.
- Responsible for delivering objectives related to Safety, Cleanliness, Quality, Cost and Productivity
- Encourage a positive working relationship with UNIFOR employees and Leadership, including fair and equal administration of the contract.
- Calculate daily labor hour requirements to ensure proper utilization of manpower (including any overtime and vacation).
- Coach Safety, Quality and Productivity to ensure objectives are met through following standardized work.
- Create a conducive work environment for employees to complete their assigned responsibilities / tasks.
- Support Continuous Improvement and coach problem resolution to the lowest level.
- Build employee capability, communication & recognition.
- Responsible for the daily material handling functions for the facility.
- Ensure proper material flow from receiving dock, to warehouse storage location, to the delivery of product to customers
- Provide direction and support in the allocation of resources in order to appropriately cover material handling responsibilities
- Ensure flawless flow of parts through proactive planning and cross-functional communication
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: College Diploma or equivalent. (Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required).
- Experience:
- Currently - the opening is afternoon shift however, ability to work any shift as well as rotating shifts and weekends is required.
- Capable of assigning work to unionized hourly workforce and holding employees. accountable for following processes pertaining to daily work assignments in terms of safety, quality, and throughput.
- Proficient organizational and administrative skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Adept problem-solving and conflict management skills.
Preferred Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Operations, Transportation & Logistics, Supply Chain Management & Information Systems, Applied Engineering Science, Packaging Engineering, or Business Management.
- Experience:
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Safety and MP&L experience preferred.
- Knowledge of constraint management principles.
- Familiarity with SAP-EWM or similar WMS.
- Microsoft Office knowledge (Word/Excel/Outlook).
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
