Shop Foreman

Job summary:

The branch foreman plays a key role in ensuring smooth operations. He or she actively participates in production work while supervising and managing his or her team. A true hands-on person, he or she ensures quality service, compliance with safety standards, and team efficiency. In collaboration with the branch manager, they ensure that work is well organized and that customers are satisfied.

Main responsibilities:

- Participate directly in production activities (applying rustproofing, preparing vehicles, maintaining equipment, etc.) while supervising operations.
- Coach and support technicians in the performance of their daily tasks.
- Plan and assign tasks to ensure optimal productivity and an efficient workflow.
- Ensure the quality of work performed, adherence to deadlines, and safety on the production floor.
- Act as a technical reference for the team: answer questions, solve problems, and offer concrete support.
- Train, motivate, and evaluate team members to promote their professional development.
- Work closely with the branch manager on schedule planning, staff management, and continuous improvement of operations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
- Perform any other related tasks requested by management.

Requirements and desired skills:

- Relevant experience in a supervisory or team coordination role (a significant asset).
- Ability to lead and supervise a team in a production environment.
- Ability to work physically and set an example on the floor.
- Good organizational skills, autonomy, and rigor in following up on tasks.
- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain a positive work environment.
- Natural leadership, proactive attitude, and concern for quality work.

Working conditions:

- Permanent year-round position.
- Variable schedule depending on branch needs.
- Salary according to internal scale.
- Applicability of the CPA Collective Agreement depending on the branch.
- Mainly field position, involving direct participation in production.
