Work Arrangement: 

This role is hybrid, you are expected to report to Markham Elevation Centre three times a week, at minimum.

Join us in shaping the future of mobility. Our AV Diagnostics team is building the next generation of autonomous vehicles, going beyond ADAS to deliver fully integrated, intelligent driving systems. This is a high-growth area within our organization, offering opportunities to lead innovation in computer platforms, SoC architectures, and advanced sensor technologies.

Autonomous driving depends on the seamless integration of sensors and computer systems. Your work will directly influence the reliability and safety of these platforms, impacting millions of future and current customers and setting industry benchmarks for autonomous technology.

Key Responsibilities 

 

  • Lead all aspects of systems development activities related to the applicable system with a strong focus on diagnostics


 

  • Ensure engineering deliveries are compliant with government regulations, such as OBD II, system safety and GM best practices


 

  • Provide diagnostic oversight and act as primary point of contact for concerns and questions related to system/component(s)


 

  • System Technical Specification development along with FMEA analysis will be fundamental aspects of the position


 

  • Lead peer reviews to ensure compliance to requirements


 

  • Communicates information to both internal and external customers


Required Skills 

 

  • 3+ year of experience in requirements development, software development, integration, verification or testing, or implementing ISO 26262 and ASIL standards.


 

  • Experience with vehicle grade integration of sensor such as Cameras, Vision Systems, Ultrasonics and LIDAR


 

  • Exposure to integrity-based diagnostic design principles, FMEA and systems thinking


 

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills


Preferred Skills 

 

  • 3+ year of experience developing hardware and/or software diagnostics


 

  • Ability to read/understand source code (C/C++) and Simulink models


 

  • Knowledge of 1968.2 OBDII Regulatory requirements


 

  • General knowledge of automotive systems (Active Safety, Powertrain, Chassis, and/or CAN/LIN communication)


 

  • Experience in automotive product release and specification process
