Job Description
The Automotive Window Tint, Paint Protection Film, and Vinyl Installer is responsible for installing high-quality automotive films-including window tint, PPF, and vinyl wraps-while ensuring exceptional workmanship and customer satisfaction. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work on a variety of vehicle models.
Window Tint Installation
-Install automotive window films to manufacturer and company standards
-Cut, shrink, and apply tint using professional tools
-Ensure clean, bubble-free, contamination-free installations
-Perform tint removals as required
Paint Protection Film (PPF) Installation
-Install PPF using plotter-cut and bulk installation methods
-Align patterns, remove stretch lines, and ensure seamless edges
-Apply proper squeegee, slip solution, and post-heat techniques
-Conduct surface preparation and quality checks
Vinyl Wrap Installation
-Install full and partial vinyl wraps on vehicles
-Apply vinyl to body panels, trim, roofs, hoods, and custom accents
-Use heat guns, cutting tools, and wrap techniques safely and precisely
-Assist with design layout and cutting when required
GENERAL DUTIES
- Safely disassemble and reassemble vehicle components (mirrors, emblems, trim panels)
- Clean and prepare work surfaces
- Maintain a tidy and organized workspace
- Operate and maintain plotter systems (e.g., XPEL DAP)
- Inspect finished work and ensure high-quality standards
- Communicate with the management team regarding job progress
- Follow all safety procedures and shop protocols
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in automotive window tint, PPF, and vinyl wrap installation (minimum 5 years professional experience)
Ability to work with precision, patience, and attention to detail
Comfort using hand tools, heat guns, knives, and squeegees
Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
Strong work ethic and reliability
Valid Driver's License
Asset (Not Required)
Experience with Plotter Software
Automotive Detailing or Ceramic Coating Experience
Ability to train and mentor junior staff
