Job description
Location: First 3 months in Saint-Jérôme (training), then hybrid + travel within Quebec
Type: Full-time
Compensation: Base salary + commissions (accelerators)
Travel: Frequent travel to dealership customers (driver's license required)
About the position:
Your role is to open new accounts at car dealerships in Quebec and manage the entire sales cycle: prospecting, needs assessment, value demonstration, proposal, negotiation, and signing. You will mainly interact with management (owners/DP, sales managers/BDC/service). You will not be responsible for product implementation: once the agreement is signed, you will make a structured transfer to the implementation team. The position requires autonomy, excellent communication skills, good organization of your territory, and attention to numbers (forecasts, conversion rates, weekly activity). Regular travel to dealerships is to be expected.

Your responsibilities in business development:
- Prospecting: build a territory plan, target groups and dealerships, execute sequences (calls, emails, LinkedIn, events).
- Discovery: understand pain points (reception, lead flow, conversion rates), map decision-makers and decision criteria.
- Value demonstration: present the solution, quantify expected gains, build a simple and compelling business case.
- Proposal & negotiation: define a trial/pilot if necessary, respond to objections, negotiate terms, close the sale.
- Transfer to implementation: set expectations, milestones, and success criteria with the delivery team.
- Account development: satisfaction follow-up, referrals, expansion opportunities.
- CRM rigor: implementation, up-to-date data, realistic forecasts, activity tracking.
Conditions and training:
- Compensation: base + unlimited commissions + accelerators.

- Paid training – 3 months (in Saint-Jérôme)
- Product and dealership implementation (reception, BDC, showroom, lead flow).
- Psychometrics applied to relationship matching (understanding the logic, better explaining the value proposition).
Desired profile:
- Experience in B2B business development with full cycle (prospecting to signing).
- Market analysis: Ability to analyze market trends, identify growth opportunities, and develop marketing strategies.
- Strategic planning: Ability to develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business objectives.
- Strong prospecting (outbound, networking, social media) and territory management.
- Ability to quantify value (conversion gains, operational efficiency) and build a business case.
- Comfortable with decision-makers (owners/DP, sales management/BDC/service).
- CRM discipline and organizational skills (forecasting, follow-up, prioritization).
- Fluent French; English an asset.
- Knowledge of the automotive industry: an asset (if not, training provided).
- Driver's license and mobility in Quebec.
