Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
 

  • Workplace patrols.
  • Access control.
  • Report writing .
  • Operating security monitoring equipment and telecommunications (i.e., two-way radio, alarm systems).
  • Monitor security surveillance systems (CCTV).
  • Conflict management.
  • Ensure compliance of the policies of Ford Motor Company.
  • Respond to fire, medical, hazardous materials spills, confined space, high rescue emergencies, bomb threats.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
 

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Ontario Security Guard License.


Experience:

• Valid Class G Driver's License.
• First Aid, CPR, AED Certification. 
• Must be able to work all shifts (days, afternoons, midnights, weekends, and holidays).
• Must be physically able to provide emergency medical assistance and complete foot patrols.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education:
 

  • Post-secondary Education in a related field.


Experience:

• NFPA 1 & 2. 
• Confined Space Rescue. 
• High angle rescue.
• Incipient fire and emergency medical response.
• Demonstrated ability to respond with patience, courtesy, and professionalism. 
• Ability to work independently and unsupervised. 
• Verbal and written communication for the purposes providing customer service and report writing. 
• Dependable and punctual. 
• Strong ability to work with others. 
• Problem solving, decision making, critical thinking. 
• Attention to detail. 

*Note: Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required.
