Job description
We are looking for a Parts Clerk.
Schedule:
- 40 hours per week;
- Monday to Thursday, 8am to 5pm;
- Friday, from 8am to 2:30pm;
- Possibility of overtime during busy periods (tire season).
Duties and Functions:
- Use the Serti computer system to order, reserve and invoice parts or search for information in the database (an asset);
- Use VWHUB's computer system and their electronic parts catalog Etka (an asset);
- Serve and advise technicians, body shops or car salespeople in their choice of parts or accessories;
- Serve and advise customers at the counter, by phone or email in their choice of parts or accessories;
-Receive, prepare and send orders, as well as place and pick up parts in our inventory (example: wheels, tires, parts, hardware, etc.);
- Set up, display and label VW accessories or store items in showroom;
- Maintain workstation (cleaning, updating and ensuring functionality);
- Enter data and participate in inventory parts count (annual).
Abilities :
- Have a computer base (computer is the primary work tool);
- Have a basic knowledge of automotive mechanics (training in mechanics or automotive parts OR a minimum of 2 years experience in the automotive field);
- Be bilingual in French / English (functional);
- Have a facility to communicate and work in a team (essential);
- Develop a physical effort when handling heavy parts (a maximum of more or less 40 pounds).

Training
Ongoing academic training is offered exclusively by Volkswagen Canada (online or in-class). The exams related to the training must be completed and passed at 80% in order to move up the ladder to eventually become a "Parts Master". These courses are recognized in all VW dealerships worldwide. Interesting trainings can concern for example, Initiation to the VW brand, Functioning between the different departments of a dealership, Presentations of new models or new EV technologies, etc.
