About the position

The Junior Controller will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial management of the dealership while developing supervisory and analytical skills. This position represents an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Assistant Controller or Accounting Technician looking to move to the next level of their career in a professional, structured and highly collaborative environment.

Your main responsibilities:

- Participate in the preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements.
- Account sales files and accounts payable / receivable.
- Reconcile bank and general ledger accounts.
- Assist in the management of cash flow, expenses and financial reports.
- Support the Controller in period closures, internal reporting and compliance with group policies.
- Monitor accounts receivable and payable.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Participate in the improvement of accounting and administrative processes.
- Work closely with sales, service and parts departments to ensure efficient and rigorous financial management.

Profile:

- Post-secondary education in accounting, finance or administration.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in an accounting-related role.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
- Strong Excel and accounting software skills (CDK, Serti or equivalent, an asset).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Analytical mindset, attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proactive attitude, professionalism and willingness to learn.
- Motivation to progress to a controller position in the medium term.
