Job description
The Wholesale Development Specialist plays a key role in executing Goodyear's Consumer Replacement Wholesale Strategy by managing relationships with strategic, opportunistic, and tactical dealer accounts. This role focuses on driving profitable growth of G3 products: Goodyear Brands through consultative selling, category planning, and close collaboration with Customer Development Managers. The ideal candidate will identify growth opportunities, support program participation, and increase share of account through data-driven business planning and field engagement.
Location: Ottawa, Ontario.
What You'll Do
- Responsible for the development/execution of Channel/Category business plans (with assigned accounts). Increase SOA and unit sales volume with an emphasis on HVA (high value added) products. Includes selling of the assortment, new product execution and the achievement of scorecard targets.
- Prepare detailed analyses of data/reports to identify opportunities for each customer. Leverage defined processes, utilize resources (Business Insight Analysts and Category/Best Practices Teams) and program elements to develop unique business plans that provide incremental value to assigned accounts.
- Evaluate/Assess competitor products, prices and position. Report relevant information to customer teams and evaluate trends/impacts observed (within assigned territory). Provide selling advantages to applicable staff for Goodyear products relative to competitors.
- Develop relationships/network with internal customer teams. Align with functional organizations (working with managers) to meet customer service goals.
- Miscellaneous reporting duties related to territory/associate expense management. Participate in the development/on-boarding of new WDSs (ride-a-long opportunities, mentoring, etc.). Assist managers (as needed). Develop a complete/robust personal development plan.
What We're Looking For
- 2 or more years of experience in tire industry field sales and/or customer development/operational support.
- Prior experience in a B2B/Sell-Out environment.
- Experience making independent decisions and working to achieve sales goals.
- Demonstrated analytics competency - Leading to an actionable business plan.
- Exposure to channels within a tire, consumer packaged goods (CPG) or other relevant industry - Desired.
- Bilingual communication skills (English/French), written and spoken - Desired.

- Advanced understanding of the tire industry and in-depth knowledge of Goodyear products
- Advanced bilingual written/verbal communication/presentation skills with persuasive sales ability (with a customer service orientation) in English and French
- Demonstrated creativity, analytical skills and business results
- Intermediate computer skills to effectively use MS Office 365 and in-house programs such as CRM, TPS, SAP and EDW
