Cummins is looking for a Field service Power generation technician to support the Kelowna area.
In this role you will have the following impacts :
- Engage customers in a courteous and professional manner.
- Anticipate and ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs.
- Apply the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete less complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools.
- Perform preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on power generation products in the field.
- Escalate unresolved issues to more experienced Field Service Technicians and/or Supervisor.
- Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
- Complete training in line with skill and business requirements.
- Maintain service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor.
Responsibilities
To be successful in this role you will need :
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
- Certified Power Generation/ Electrical Technician (Preferred) or Heavy duty mechanics certification
- ASTTBC certification required for this role.
- Current relevant electrical certification.
- Locally valid driving permit is mandatory for this role.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
- Basic level field service work experience.
- Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with of power generation products.
- High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience.
- Customer service experience in a customer facing role.

- Preferred location Kelowna, British Columbia
- This is a safety oriented position
- Work shift : Monday to Friday-Daytime position (40 hours weekly)
- Unionized environment
- Hourly salary at 54.26$ as per current CBA
