RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead the group to develop, align, and deliver on measurable goals 
- Provide the account managers with up to date information on market changes, pricing trends, mill information, product information, equipment information and enhancements and credit problems 
- Ensure that rolling forecasts are maintained monthly 
- Promote the elimination of aged inventory through pro-active dealings 
- Keep all management informed of any areas of concern, potential problems, problem customers, unfaithful promises and people problems. 
- Develop and maintain relationships with key accounts through sales calls. Attend customer functions as required. Responsible for Identifying opportunities for growth and development 
- Drive continuous improvements, manage team members by setting goals and objectives, coaching, reviewing performance and establishing a positive working environment 
- Act as a liaison between company departments or divisions as called upon 
- Review sales orders for appropriate pricing structure and utilization of inventory 
- Investigate and approve credit memo's 
- Identify opportunities to drive and increase customer accounts 
- Simultaneously organize and successfully execute multiple project responsibilities 
- Familiarity with key products, pricing programs, vendors and services is mandatory 

QUALIFICATIONS

- College or University Education in Engineering, Business Administration or Marketing preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience) 
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Outside Sales or Management in the Steel or Automotive industry required 
- Prior experience managing and developing a sales team 
- Prior experience in exceeding sales targets and driving for results 
- Capable of performing well in a fast-paced, fluid, dynamic environment
