• Fosterand promote the company's culture while ensuring adherence to company policies,procedures, and standards to maintain consistency and compliance with bothcompany goals and regulatory requirements.
• Lead,manage, and support the operations team, guiding staff through clear goalsetting, performance assessments, effective communication, and on-the-jobtraining and development initiatives.
• Maintaina well-structured operational department by ensuring optimal staffing levels,creating succession plans, and developing employee growth strategies to meetcurrent and future needs.
• Responsiblefor the implementation and management of lean manufacturing processes toenhance efficiency and reduce waste including reporting on the progress of leaninitiatives and ensuring compliance with legal standards.
• Focuson continuous improvement, leading teams to identify and address areas of wasteor inefficiency in the manufacturing process.
• Designand implement an annual strategic plan for the department, aligning it with thecompany's performance targets and industry trends and benchmarks.
• Trackand evaluate key operational performance indicators (KPIs), including overallequipment effectiveness (OEE), measure and improve departmental performance;analyze data trends to develop actionable improvement plans.
• Developand introduce new processes and procedures to adapt to evolving businessdemands
• Collaboratewith cross-functional teams, to ensure alignment with broader businessobjectives.
• Trainingand coaching employees on lean tools and methodologies, ensuring everyone isaligned towards the same efficiency goals.
• Maintainvisibility and engagement with staff through management by walking around.
• Overseethe preparation, approval, and management of the department's operationalbudget, ensuring financial targets are met.
• Leadkey employee committee meetings, driving continuous improvement initiatives inthe relevant areas.
• Takecharge of ensuring the smooth launch of new products into operations, ensuringflawless execution.
• Participatein the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) program, conductingaccident/incident investigations, identifying root causes, implementingcorrective actions, and following up to ensure completion.
• Performother related duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in ManufacturingEngineering, Operations/Industrial Management, or a related field is preferred;a master's degree is an asset.
- At least seven (7) years of experience inautomotive manufacturing, with a proven history of leadership and deliveringresults in fast-paced environments.
- Strong business acumen with a deep understandingof automotive industry practices.
- Excellent leadership abilities, with a knack forteam building, effective listening, and fostering strong relationships.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonalskills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solvingcapabilities.
- Knowledge and comprehensive understanding ofLean Management and Value Stream Mapping (VSM).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, andother relevant software preferable SAP knowledge.
- A background in Engineering, Quality,Manufacturing, or Operations is preferred.
