Job description

We are currently recruiting field Service Technicians in the Saguenay region to join our growing team!

Ideally, you are an automotive, heavy equipment, truck and bus, or forklift technician, or you are enrolled in a powerhouse program. Candidates with similar mechanical experience will also be considered for this position. You are self-motivated and a team player, results-oriented, and have strong communication and customer service skills.

The role:

Reporting to the Field Service Manager, Field Service Technicians are responsible for traveling to customer sites to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair Crown and competitive forklifts and other equipment.

- Discuss with the customer and review recommended repairs. Estimate or quote repair costs. Place parts orders and complete necessary paperwork;
- Perform safety and operational tests;
- Perform pre-delivery inspections, drop off trucks, and set them up as needed;
- Communicate customer satisfaction information and leads to appropriate personnel;
- Complete all necessary training;
- Perform other duties as needed.

Physical requirements:

- Ability to safely operate forklifts and service vehicles/vans;
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, reach below knee level, grasp, work with arms extended, and work above chest level;
- Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs;
- Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 100 lbs, reach above shoulder level, climb stairs, climb ladders, twist, use vibrating tools, and pinch.

Education and qualifications:

- High School Diploma;
- Valid driver's licence;
- Industry-related training and/or one to two years of prior experience (preferred);
- Able to read and understand hydraulic and electrical schematics;
- Familiarity with tools and equipment such as common hand tools, power/air tools, blowtorch, arc welder, and various types of testing equipment;
- Able to read and understand service manuals and microfiches, plan and follow up;
- Good organizational, customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills required.
