Are you a motivated and enthusiastic student looking to gain hands-on experience in the auto body collision repair industry? CSN Listowel is seeking a dedicated Shop Student to join our team. Job Summary:

The Shop Student will work under the direct supervision of experienced technicians, assisting with various tasks in the shop. This role is designed to provide practical experience and a foundational understanding of auto body repair processes, shop operations, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities:
 

  • Ensure the shop remains clean, tidy, and organized.
  • Assist with vehicle movement within the shop and lot.
  • Learn and adhere to all shop safety protocols and procedures.
  • Assist in detailing vehicles as required
  • Observe and learn various repair techniques and processes.
  • Assist technicians with vehicle disassembly and reassembly.
  • Help prepare vehicles for repair, including cleaning, masking, and taping.
  • Support with sanding, and basic bodywork tasks.
  • Organize and maintain tools and equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by technicians or management.


Requirements

 

  • Currently enrolled in a high school or post-secondary program, preferably with an interest in automotive, trades, or collision repair.
  • Strong willingness to learn and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
  • Basic understanding of tools and mechanical concepts is an asset, but not required.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid G2 or G driver's license preferred (for vehicle movement, if applicable).
  • Ability to lift and move objects as required by the job.
