Auto Parts Counter Clerk

The Auto Parts Counter Attendant works in a fast-paced environment. The jobholder supports the certified auto mechanics in finding and supplying the right parts for the repair of the auto center's automobiles. This position involves the use of computerized automotive parts and service search systems, including repair order quotations, ordering, and inventory control and accuracy.

The Parts Counter Operator is a central position that ensures the smooth day-to-day running of the workshop by acting as a link between the garage/mechanics and the service counter. He/she ensures that quotations are properly prepared, that the right parts and replacement times are available, and that the parts advisors receive all relevant information concerning parts order times, so that the advisors can then communicate with the customer and provide him/her with the right information concerning repair times for his/her vehicle. In the opposite direction, the parts counter clerk can then communicate information to the mechanic about work in progress.

He/she will also take care of connected tasks, such as parts returns, warranties, maintaining the cleanliness of his/her workspace and placing inventory properly, communicating with various suppliers.

Requirements:

- Experience in the automotive field and knowledge of parts (a strong asset);
- Experience with Costar (an asset).
