Job description
The incumbent ensures the smooth running of the parts counter, support to Technicians and service to internal and external customers. This role is essential to ensure fast, efficient and well-structured service.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to Technician and customer requests for forklift parts.
- Identify, research and locate parts required for specific machine models.
- Prepare purchase orders and ensure rigorous follow-up with suppliers.
- Manage incoming and outgoing stock and keep parts inventory up to date.
- Receive and check ordered parts, then put them away according to established standards.
- Handle supplier returns and complaints.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment.
- Provide courteous, prompt and professional service at all times.
Profile:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the forklift industry or in a related field (heavy machinery, industrial equipment).
- Hands-on forklift experience a major asset.
- Solid understanding of forklift parts, components and features.
- Good knowledge of inventory management and parts ordering systems.
- Strong sense of organization and rigor.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a team and manage several requests simultaneously.
- Computer literate (inventory software, e-mail, etc.).
- Physical ability to occasionally handle some heavier parts.
