Job description:

- This versatile position combines the distribution of service work and parts management.
- You will be responsible for planning and assigning tasks to technicians, while ensuring the availability of parts needed for repairs.
- Your organizational skills, thoroughness and communication skills will be essential to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.

Main responsibilities:

Dispatching tasks:

- Plan and allocate work according to technician availability and skills.
- Prioritize urgent repairs and adjust schedules as needed.
- Monitor work progress and communicate regularly with technical advisors.
- Monitor technician productivity and help optimize performance.
- Maintain information in the work order management system.

Parts Clerk duties:

- Order, receive and distribute parts required for shop work.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and perform regular stock checks.
- Communicate with suppliers to ensure prompt deliveries and resolve supply problems.
- Properly organize parts storage and labeling.
- Work with technicians and technical advisors to ensure that required parts are available on time.

Requirements:

- Previous experience in a dispatching or parts clerk role (in an automotive or mechanical environment is an asset).
- Excellent organizational and priority management skills.
- Good communication and team spirit.
- Comfortable with parts management, dispatch or work order software.
- Basic knowledge of mechanics or vehicle parts (an asset).
