Position Summary

Cambrian College's School of Skills Training is seeking part-time professors to teach in the Automotive Training Electric Vehicle Up-Skilling Program beginning in September 2025. 
Duties and Responsibilities

Course lists include the following:
 

• Intro-Safety EV
• EV High Voltage Batteries
• HVAC & Battery Thermal Control
• Motors & Controls
• Low Voltage & Network Communication
• Voltage Charging & Control
• Drivetrain & Gear Reduction
• Electric Brakes, Wheels, Tires and Driver Assist

Qualifications

 

• Certificate of Qualifications (Interprovincial Red Seal) as a journeyperson in the automotive trade, and Certification of Apprenticeship (A copy of educational documents must be submitted with application *** education completed outside of Canada, applicants are required to submit a WES or ICAS with their application)
• Three to five years of relevant industry experience
• Electrical Vehicle training
• Possess good organizational skills and sound computer software skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and exceptional interpersonal skills
• Effective critical thinking and organizational skills and the ability to function effectively within a team environment.

Additional Assets/Preferred:

• Motive Power Technician diploma
• Previous teaching experience at the postsecondary level
