Daily Schedule/Shift: This position has a shift time of 11:00am - 7:30pm, however depending on business requirements there may be a modification.
Position Title: Warehouse Supervisor - Automotive Manufacturing & Engineering

Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to supervise a team of non-unionized employees in a parts distribution center, to provide accurate and timely shipments to customers. Leads and solves problems within the limits of general standards and practices.
In this role, you will motivate direct reports and business partners through effective communication, training, coaching, development, recognition, and supervision. You will demonstrate expertise with your knowledge of the processes your team is required to perform and ensure your team members are effectively performing job responsibilities utilizing standardized methods.
Key Responsibilities
- Assists in ensuring success of departmental function in a parts distribution center, to provide accurate and timely shipments to customers. Leads and solves problems within the limits of general standards and practices, with some direct guidance from the General Supervisor.
- Demonstrates expertise in knowledge of the processes your team is required to perform, and ensures they are effectively performing job responsibilities utilizing standardized methods.
- Motivates direct reports and/or business partners through effective communication, training, coaching, development, and recognition.
- Identifies opportunities for improvement using tools such as layered audits.
- Achieves Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, and Cost key performance indicators.
- Cultivates a safety culture, and implements and enforces workplace safety rules and policies.
- Implements GMS and lean principles.
- Models company cultural behaviors and always demonstrates the highest level of integrity.
- Maintains good working relationships and communicates with employees and management team.
- May evaluate team performance, and promotes continuous improvement.
- Achieves quality standards by communicating goals and leveraging resources to solve problems.
- Understands and consistently administers company policies.
- May completes administrative tasks such as timekeeping, and maintain departmental records and reports.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Trains, develops and evaluates employee.
- Keeps abreast of parts distribution center/materials warehouse performance reports and costs.
Requirements
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experiences:
- 2 - 5 years previous experience supervising employees in a warehousing environment.
- Knowledge of warehousing processes and procedure.
- Solid experience on Inventory Management.
- Knowledge of basic math.
- MS Office experience (Microsoft Excel).
- High level oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of basic technology of area where assigned.
- High level analytical ability where problems are complex, with comprehensive understanding of metrics.
- High level interpersonal skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization, motivate employees and elicit work output.
- Ability to work any shift as dictated by the business.
Preferred Skills and Experiences:
- Experience in automotive domain
- Experience in General Motors warehouse or manufacturing facilities
Education and Training:
- High school diploma or GED required. Associate or Bachelor degree in business or related field is preferred.
