We are looking for an Inventory Control Supervisor who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads with a hands-on approach, and drives operational excellence every day. In this role, you'll lead a high-performing team responsible for inventory control and shipping/receiving, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and safety while enabling Tesla's mission to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and performance-manage the inventory, part kitting and shipping & receiving teams, including hiring, training, and performance management
- Oversee daily inventory activities, ensuring accurate and timely issuance of materials per pick list requirements
- Communicate missing or delayed components to relevant teams and resolve discrepancies to avoid production delays
- Maintain accurate inventory records, metrics, and reports for management
- Identify and implement process improvements in kitting, inventory, and warehouse layout; support cross-training
- Investigate and resolve receipt or inventory discrepancies, collaborating with internal stakeholders
- Ensure workplace safety compliance, training recertifications, and coordinate disposition of obsolete inventory
Requirements
- Diploma in Business, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience
- 7-10 years in manufacturing/warehouse operations, with 5+ years in a leadership role
- Proven expertise in inventory control, materials management, and supply chain operations
- Strong analytical skills with experience using data to optimize inventory and production performance metrics
- Advanced MS Excel skills and proficiency with ERP/MOS systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across digital and in-person channels
- Highly organized, adaptable, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, including flexible shifts
