We are seeking a skilled and innovative High Voltage Battery Calibration and Integration Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on the calibration, integration, and optimization of high voltage battery systems, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of performance, safety, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to support the development and integration of advanced battery technologies for electric vehicles (EVs).
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Battery Calibration:
Develop, implement, and execute calibration strategies for high voltage battery systems.
Calibrate battery management systems (Client) to optimize charging, discharging, state-of-charge (SOC), state-of-health (SOH), contactor control, cell balancing and thermal management.
Conduct performance testing and validation of battery functions under various operating conditions on both pack level and vehicle level.
Analyze data, identify trends, and provide solutions to improve battery efficiency, lifespan, and safety.
Battery System Integration:
Ensure seamless communication and functionality between the Client, EVCU, charging systems, and other vehicle systems during all Network Management events.
Support the integration of the battery system within the vehicle powertrains or other energy systems to meet performance specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues related to communication protocols, data logging, and performance anomalies.
Battery Performance Testing:
Design, conduct and support tests to assess the performance, and efficiency of high voltage battery systems.
Work with data acquisition systems and simulation tools to monitor battery behavior during real-world driving or load conditions.
Validate the battery systems for safety standards and regulatory compliance.
Optimization and Continuous Improvement:
Analyze test data to propose design improvements for battery systems, contributing to increased performance, safety, and durability.
Identify opportunities for improving battery calibration procedures, processes, and tools to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Collaboration and Cross-Functional Support:
Collaborate with the R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to troubleshoot battery-related issues and provide technical expertise.
Support the creation of documentation, including test reports, calibration procedures, and integration guidelines.

Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field from an ABET accredited University. Advanced certifications in battery technologies or electrical systems are a plus.
3-5 years of hands-on battery system development, calibration, and integration, particularly in high voltage systems.
Experience with battery management systems (Client), energy storage systems (ESS), or electric vehicle (EV) battery systems.
Knowledge of battery chemistries (Li-ion, solid-state, etc.) and battery pack design principles.
Familiarity with battery test equipment and simulation tools (e.g., CAN, INCA/MDA, MATLAB, Simulink, LabVIEW, etc.).
Strong understanding of high voltage electrical systems and battery design.
Proficiency in calibration tools, diagnostic software, and troubleshooting techniques.
Experience with software programming for battery management or integration (e.g., Python, C, or similar languages).
Solid knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory requirements for high voltage systems.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
