Job description

Role Overview:

We're looking for an Autobody Repair Technician to join our client's team. In
this role, you'll perform body, frame, and mechanical repairs to ensure all vehicles are
restored to manufacturer standards. You'll work in a fast-paced collision centre
environment, guiding apprentices, maintaining shop efficiency, and contributing to a
culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Perform repairs that result in invisible restoration and meet OE specifications
  • Maintain a repair vs. replace metric of 70% month-over-month and quarter-over-quarter
  • Ensure all broken parts are documented in the initial Repair Plan
  • Work with the Repair Planner to disassemble a drivable vehicle within 30 minutesfor review
  • Act as a coach and role model for apprentices in the shop• Follow and complete Quality Control documentation accurately
  • Inspect Repair Plans for accuracy and completeness
  • Pre-fit all parts before final repairs
  • Replace all parts listed on the Job Worksheet and repair all panels as required
  • Operate tools and equipment safely at all times
  • Ensure all vehicles on the frame machine are properly secured for safety and efficiency
  • Embrace a "parts off the car" mindset for maximum productivity
  • Support shop throughput, quality standards, and profitability goals
  • Share knowledge and mentor junior team members
  • Complete work in body, frame, mechanical, and electrical repair categories
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S standards

 
What You Offer:

 

  • 2+ years of automotive body repair experience
  • Red Seal/Journeyperson certification
  • At least five years as an "A Tech" level technician
  • Five years of frame pull experience
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • High attention to detail and quality workmanship
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Commitment to safety and continuous learning

This position offers an hourly wage of $27 - $30, plus a $10,000 annual bonus paid
quarterly. Overtime is compensated at 1.5 × your hourly rate, and the role includes a
comprehensive benefits package.
