The Opportunity

As the Asset Coordinator, you'll oversee the lifecycle management and maintenance schedule of our vehicle assets, ensuring they operate at peak efficiency while supporting AMA's mission to deliver world-class roadside assistance and driver education services.

How You'll Make an Impact
- Reporting to the Manager, Fleet Operations, you'll take the lead in planning, coordinating, and overseeing the lifecycle management of AMA's vehicle assets.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive asset management strategy that aligns with AMA's operational objectives.
- Conduct regular assessments of assets to evaluate their condition, performance, and lifecycle status.
- Analyze asset data and trends to forecast future needs and inform purchasing decisions.
- Prepare and manage budgets for asset acquisition, maintenance, and disposal, ensuring financial efficiency.
- Oversee vehicle procurement, replacement strategies, and disposal processes, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.
- Implement and maintain an electronic asset management system to track utilization, costs, and performance.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee service agreements to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with business unit leaders to align asset planning with operational requirements and strategic goals.
- Monitor and report on asset performance, making recommendations for improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, compliance regulations, and maintenance protocols to maximize asset longevity and efficiency.
What You Bring to the Table
- You have at least 3 years of experience in asset or material management, preferably in the automotive industry.
- You have a strong understanding of asset management principles, including lifecycle management, procurement, and financial analysis.
- You have a strong proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office, and asset management software, with experience working in ERP environments.
- You have a solid background in automotive maintenance and fleet operations.
- You're knowledgeable about safety standards and compliance requirements in a fleet management environment.
- You have strong analytical skills, allowing you to assess data, identify trends, and make informed recommendations.
- You're an excellent communicator and negotiator, capable of building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- You have experience managing budgets and can develop financial reports to support asset management strategies.
