Job description

The Driving Force Group of Companies is a network of world-class transportation and fleet management solutions companies. We're proud to be an Alberta success story that began in a rented office above a small service station. With a can-do attitude and people-first culture, we've grown into an industry leader, operating across Canada and the United States, spanning over 40 locations with over 600 + employees.

If you're an ace problem solver with a keen eye for detail, and pretty good at thinking fast on your feet, we'd love to have you join our team.

We are currently looking for a detail-oriented Vehicle Assessor to join our rentals team at Driving Force Fleet Solutions in our Edmonton West location.

What Moves You:

  • You strongly believe there's no such thing as an insignificant detail.

  • You're organized, proactive, and always thinking a few steps ahead.

  • You're a natural collaborator who can bring people together across teams to solve problems.

What You'll Do

  • Inspect returned vehicles, document visible damages with photos, and create work orders for repairs if necessary.

  • Manage vendor check-in/check-out processes and coordinate logistics for maintenance and de-fleeted units.

  • Create and apply barcode stickers to track vehicles and maintain up-to-date vehicle registration and decal compliance.

  • Ensure rental vehicles meet customer specifications and are properly rigged.

  • Order and track license plates, rental supplies, and maintain inventory of unused equipment and accessories.

  • Handle full rental transactions, including opening agreements, processing payments, and completing all paperwork.

  • Flag vehicles for post-rental inspection, update rental agreement statuses, and identify units for vendor movement.

  • Support annual vehicle audits and assist the Branch Manager in preparing vehicles for sale.

What You Bring:

  • Previous experience in customer service and automotive industry considered an asset.

  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills.

  • Strong computer skills and you know your way around Microsoft Office.

  • You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at multitasking.

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task with keen attention to detail.

  • Abstract acceptable to The Driving Force Group of Companies Driver and Vehicle Safety Program.

  • Clear pre-employment security clearance.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive wages and flexible benefits.

  • Our company RRSP matching program.

  • 50% off rentals at any of our Driving Force locations.

  • Learning and growth opportunities.

  • Paid vacation and wellness time.

  • We support your wellbeing through our Thrive wellness program.

  • We 'Celebrate Great' through our rewards and recognition programs.

The Driving Force Groups of Companies values diversity and is committed to providing equal opportunities in the workplace. We invite applicants from qualified individuals of all backgrounds. While we welcome all interested candidates, only those selected for an interview will receive further communication.

If you require accommodation during any part of the recruitment process, please let us know.

Final candidates will be required to undergo a security screening. This may include a driver's abstract, criminal history check, reference checks and/or credit check.
