Position: Auto Body Prepper/Painter

Location: CSN Collision Centers, 86 Russett Ave, Oshawa, Ontario, L1G 3R5

Job Description:

CSN Collision is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Auto Body Prepper/Painter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing vehicles for painting and executing high-quality paint jobs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for automotive repair and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, grinding, and masking to ensure a smooth finish
  • Select and mix paint according to manufacturer specifications
  • Apply paint, clear coats, and finishes using spray guns and other applications
  • Inspect painted surfaces for imperfections and perform necessary touch-ups
  • Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality results
  • Assist in other collision repair tasks as needed


Requirements

Qualifications and Requirements:
 

  • Previous experience as an Auto Body Prepper and/or Painter
  • Ability to comprehend and execute instructions from a detailed work order.
  • Knowledge of auto body repair processes, painting techniques and safe working procedures.
  • Familiarity with automotive paint products and application methods
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Physical stamina to handle manual tasks and work in varying environments
  • Valid driver's license
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications (e.g., I-CAR) are a plus
