In the northern village of Salluit, in the heart of Nunavik, a unique opportunity awaits you: a job as a “fly-in fly-out” mechanic, well paid, housed, fed and, above all, out of the ordinary.

You'll work with a welcoming Inuit community, in an environment where people and nature coexist with respect.
You'll maintain and repair heavy equipment (John Deere, Caterpillar) and trucks (Kenworth, MACK, Freightliner). A structured schedule, breathtaking scenery... How about the start of a new chapter?
As part of your job, you'll:
- Repair hydraulic systems on heavy equipment;
- Fabricate and crimp high-pressure hydraulic hoses;
- Inspect and rebuild hydraulic cylinders on machinery;
- Perform preventive maintenance and mechanical inspections;
- Replace mechanical and hydraulic components (pivots, bearings, seals, cylinders, brakes, etc.);
- Change tires and repair flat tires;
- Repair 10-wheel trucks (mechanical and hydraulic systems);
- Perform various related tasks.

Schedule: Daytime, Monday to Sunday, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Status: permanent.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair;
- Solid knowledge of hydraulic electricity and welding;
- Experience on loaders and excavators required;
- Proficiency in CAT Service Advisor and John Deere Service Advisor software;
- Good command of written and spoken French;
- Intermediate command of English 25% of the time in order to communicate with customers who speak little or no French.
