As we continue our journey to establish Windsor Operations globally as a Technical Centre of Excellence, we are seeking qualified applicants for opportunities within our skilled trade workforce as an Industrial Millwright Mechanic (IMM).

Responsibilities

YOUR IMPACT
 

  • Support the manufacturing process through efficient machine maintenance and maximization of machine uptime
  • Apply mechanical principles and analytical techniques to establish and continuously improve manufacturing processes and products, focusing on safety, quality, and productivity
  • Effectively troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment failures in a timely manner
  • Identify throughput constraints and drive root cause improvements
  • Lead teams and projects aimed at improving productivity, efficiency, and safety


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
 

  • Has satisfactorily completed an apprenticeship training course in the trade concerned and has obtained a Certificate of Apprenticeship (C of A) and Certificate of Qualifications (C of Q) (433A). 


Preferred Qualifications
 

  • "Red Seal" certification is an asset.
  • Three (3) years working experience as an IMM within a high-speed, flexible manufacturing environment with prior completion of a recognized Apprenticeship Program under the Province of Ontario or equivalent.
  • Prior working experience with Computerized Numerically Controlled (CNC) machines with knowledge and applied experience in machine tool component position geometry and process integration.
  • Working knowledge and experience with precision bearings, setup gauging tools, tool mounting systems, and lubricant systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment failures.
  • Deep understanding along with a working knowledge and experience of automation machinery specifications (proficient with machining, repairing, and/or rebuilding working details and machine components using lathes, mills, grinders, etc.)
  • Proficiency in reading and comprehension of technical drawings and schematics for determination of machining and assembly equipment and tooling parameters.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge in the use of measuring instruments to verify dimensional characteristics.
  • Preferable candidates should be capable of effectively performing their duties with minimal Supervision and be capable of working independently.
  • Applicants must be willing to upgrade certain skills if required.
  • Must be willing and able to perform work on a rotating three-shift basis with extended hours and work weeks as may be required.
